Hired as part of the original staff in the position of executive director in March of 1996 prior to the launch of Michigan Government Television.
Before coming to MGTV, Bill worked for over 20 years as assistant publisher and managing editor for Baker Publishing, a Lansing-based firm publishing trader journals in the construction, trucking, and farming fields.
Grew up in Ironwood, Michigan. Graduated from Michigan State University's Justin Morrill College in 1972 with a degree in English literature and criticism. Did graduate work at MSU in linguistics.
Long active with the community and MSU, Bill is currently a member of the MSU Museum Development Council and the Fundraising Committee for the National Folk Festival and the Great Lakes Folk Festival.
Enjoys reading, touch football, and fantasy football. An avid Spartan and Packers fan, Bill lives in Okemos with his wife Linda.
