MGTV to Re-Air Democratic Gubernatorial Debate
(Lansing, Michigan)--Michigan Government Television (MGTV) will air the recent debate among Democratic candidates for governor on Monday, July 29, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. The debate was taped in Marquette on July 18th and aired on PBS affiliates on July 19th.
Candidates participating in the forum were: former Governor James Blanchard, Congressman David Bonior, and Attorney General Jennifer Granholm. The program was moderated by Tim Skubick.
"I want to thank WKAR Television and especially Steve Mueche for sharing this program with us," said MGTV Executive Director Bill Trevarthen. "As a cable network covering state government, we want to give our viewers as much information on the candidates as possible prior to the August primary. We're very pleased to be able to carry this debate on the MGTV network."
