MGTV Will Air
Live Coverage of Convention of
Michigan's Electoral College

(Lansing, Michigan)—Michigan Government Television (MGTV) will air the Convention of Michigan's Electoral College live from the Michigan Senate Chambers on Monday, December 18, 2000, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

“This year's highly unusual election has certainly thrust the Electoral College and its importance onto center stage," said MGTV Executive Director Bill Trevarthen. "So, we're especially pleased to offer our cable television viewers a front row seat to watch this historic process live."

MGTV's coverage will be a special offering beyond its usual programming hours (Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Eastern Time).

MGTV reaches over 1.5 million cable subscribers on systems around the state. MGTV, a non-profit corporation, is a public affairs initiative of Michigan's cable television industry.
