The programming schedule
is created on a weekly basis. Due to last minute schedule changes for live legislative sessions and Supreme Court oral arguments, it can frequently change without notice. Occasionally, time sensitive programming will pre-empt regularly scheduled events. Because MGTV is committed to airing all events in their entirely, programs over 4 hours in length may air over multiple days or will air in a complete form on a future date. All programs that air on MGTV are archived and available for purchase.
Michigan Government TV (MGTV) is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation, independent of state government. Maintaining and operating a statewide cable network that is non-commercial by design can be a challenge. Now, more than ever, Michigan citizens want oversight of decisions that affect their lives. There are many ways to support the MGTV network and it’s mission
to provide and expand coverage of state government. MGTV offers underwriting opportunities
for some of its programs and donations are tax deductible.
MGTV provides programming that is fair, accurate, balanced and without regard to partisanship or ideology. MGTV’s coverage is intended to offer viewers access to unedited government deliberations. In addition to coverage of legislative proceedings, Supreme Court oral arguments, the governor’s press conferences, state board of education meetings and the like, we also cover public policy conferences, speeches by national and state leaders and forums held by our state’s colleges and universities. All original programming, all the time.
